About RosterKit

RosterKit started with a simple frustration: typing the same class list into a different website for every tool, then projecting it next to ads.

Who we are and why we built it

RosterKit is made by Talha Shahid, an independent developer. The goal is simple: classroom tools that are quick to open, fair to students and calm on the big screen, so teachers spend their time teaching rather than setting up websites.

Most free classroom tools make teachers retype their class for every activity, then fill the projector with pop-ups and ads in front of thirty students. RosterKit fixes both: save your class once and the name picker, group maker, seating chart and every other tool use it straight away, with nothing but the tool on the screen.

Everything here today is free and will stay free. Student names stay in your own browser and never reach us. If optional paid extras are ever added, such as syncing classes between devices, the tools you use now won't lose anything or move behind a paywall.
